24/5/2013- 27/5/2013 Welsh Perry and Cider Festival

Giles Gallery, specifically, Illustrator, Beth Giles, will be at the festival with her work and hands on workshops for you to create your own masterpieces!

2013 Festival - 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th May 2013
Caldicot Castle, Church Road, Caldicot

Admission: Advance tickets: £4.00 on Friday and Monday, £5.00 on Saturday and Sunday and £30.00 weekend camping per person.
This includes entry and a festival glass!

Times: Friday - 6pm to 11pm, Sat and Sunday - mid-day to 11pm, Monday - midday - 6pm
Camping Available - £30pp for the weekend in advance - includes entry into festival. On the door prices are £40pp

Some of the Independant Retailers in Pontyclun, Talbot Green and Llantrisant are holding an Indie Easter Egg Hunt around their shops and salons during the Easter Holidays. 23rd March until the 14th April. Join an Indie Easter Egg hunt and explore some on the local shops in Pontyclun, Talbot Green and Llantrisant in search of our Easter egg props. Collect an Easter Egg sticker from each shop to complete your hunt map and hand it in, in exchange for a choc prize and a certificate of completion. The Easter Egg hunt is a fun, free, family activity to enjoy during the school holidays. There will also be the chance to enter your completed map in our prize draw for an Easter Hamper.

1/12/12 Pontyclun Victorian Christmas Fayre

Giles Gallery will be represented at this event and this year promises to be all the fun of the fair outside, with stalls offering a wide range of seasonal fair inside!

There will be music and other live entertainment and everything to make the family happy.
For the children, Father Christmas will be in his grotto taking note of Christmas present wish-lists and handing out pre- Christmas treats for all the good girls and boys!
And like last year there will be MANY ASSOCIATED EVENTS! Including:
BEST DECORATED SHOPFRONT, which will include a 'treasure hunt', for everyone to take part in and spot secrets placed in each window taking part.

21-28/10/2012 The Big Draw @ Castle Coch

For the whole half term and bank holiday weekend, Castle Coch will be taking part in the national event, 'The Big Draw'! And Giles Gallery has been invited to take part as an artistic presence in numerous locations inside the castle.

There will be an exhibition of work by the very talented students of Giles Gallery's art workshops, in the hunting lodge room located in the North Tower.

Artist and Giles Gallery owner, Beth Giles, will be in the Drawing room, using its hand painted renditions of Aesop's Fables on the walls, as inspiration for natural history themed sketches and invites the public to join in with her with the materials provided.

Another artist will be located in the courtyard at the heart of the castle, encouraging the public to get messy on a large scale, drawing and painting with energy and excitment.

Come and join them, and notice more by putting what you see on paper!

A Welshman's view of Australia: Original paintings of the landscapes, seacapes and woring environment of Queensland and New South Wales.

Also recently completed paintings of Elwyn's beloved Rhondda Valley.

04-11/08/2012 National Eisteddfod

Gallery owner, Beth Giles, will be teaming up with local talented artist, Louise Clough, for this years National Eisteddfod in Llandow, in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Beth and Louise will be at stand 19, the exhbitors hall on the Maes.

With wonderfull examples of their own personal artwork. Originals, prints and gifts for everyone. This promises to be an amazing event and a chance to see fine examples of the areas local taent, as well as others from all across Wales.

Giles Gallery and its students have been invited to present an exhibition of their work on the first May bank holiday weekend 2012, the 5th 6th and 7th May The theme for the show is CADW and the title is "Dreftadaeth Falch/ Proud Heritage"

Giles Gallery will be taking part in the local community fashion show, taking place in Pontyclun Athletic club on the 4th May 2012. We will be showing a quirky and inspiring range of accessories and jewellery by local crafts people.
Tickets are available at Giles Gallery and other select businesses in Pontyclun and discounts are available for group bookings.
