Beth Giles is the proud owner of The Old Methodist Chapel and adjoining Wesley Hall, on Cowbridge Road, Pontyclun. She and many volunteers and talented specialists have worked on the building to bring it 'up to scratch' and this year have finally moved Giles Gallery permanently into it.
Giles Gallery is delighted to announce its 7th year in business. We exhibit, promote and sell the work of over 300 new and local independent artists, from around South Wales but also including the Midlands areas! Media includes paintings, prints, sketches, pastels, jewellery, ceramics, metal and wood work and textiles.
We would be interested in any new artists who feel that their work would suit a gallery environment; we would be happy to help you make those first steps towards promoting yourself and your craft, whatever wonders they may be! We also let exhibition space for larger solo and/or group shows.
Over the years we have lost track of how many times we have enabled people to find that perfect gift for a special someone, and more often than not, uniting someone with something they find so beautiful it speaks to their very soul.
The gallery also supplies everyone from school students to well-established artists with a large range of high quality competitively priced arts and craft materials, from beginners’ starter packs, to specific niche items. If there is something you would like but cannot see, just let us know, and we will do our very best to stock it for you.
We also help almost 70 individuals achieve their full artistic and creative potential in our regular classes and workshops, and hold a range of weekly events, including an art club. We take bookings for other art and craft courses for artists in the local area, including jewellery making and ceramics.
So, if you haven't been in to see us yet, I think it's about time! We are much more than you'd expect. We look forward to meeting you.
